We must improve infrastructure to keep Ward 7 accessible for everyone.
A healthy community is one that makes it easy for you to get around. Connected communities have the foundations in place to support walking, biking, good transit, while respecting your need to drive. Ward 7 is home to some of Calgary’s oldest neighbourhoods and parks. Millions have been invested in roads to improve traffic flow, and while the city has expanded road capacity, the result has been increased traffic volumes through and in our communities, with no corresponding investment in accessible pedestrian infrastructure.
Redevelopment in many communities has been overlooked: pedestrian overpasses need repair and community centres and facilities need reinvestment. I will be a champion for reinvestment into Ward 7.
